FAQ

Questions people ask before they connect anything

The honest answers, including the ones about numbers not matching. If your question is not here, ask us directly.

Getting started

What does Tatheon actually do?

Tatheon brings the numbers that decide how an ecommerce business is run onto one screen: revenue and profit from your store, spend and performance from your advertising platforms, retention and subscription behaviour from your customer base, and a forecast built from what you actually did rather than what you hoped.

The point is not another dashboard. It is that these numbers normally live in five tools that disagree with each other, and reconciling them by hand is where most of the week goes.

Which platforms does it connect to?

Shopify, Meta, Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Klaviyo, Skio and ShipStation.

Shopify is the one to connect first, because it is the revenue every other number is measured against. Everything after that adds a layer rather than replacing anything, so the board is useful with one source connected and more useful with each one you add.

How long does setup take?

Connecting Shopify takes a few minutes and the board reports real revenue straight away. Historical data fills in behind that over several hours, because the backfill walks your order history in bounded chunks rather than pulling years of orders in one request.

Each additional platform is a similar few minutes. The step that catches people out is permissions rather than the product: Meta needs admin on the business portfolio rather than on the ad account, and Google Analytics needs Administrator rather than Editor.

Does Tatheon replace GA4 or profit dashboards like Triple Whale?

Tatheon is the operating layer rather than another analytics tab: reconciled profit after every cost, attribution under six models you choose between, stock cover against reorder points, forecasts scored against closed months, and an AI that proposes actions which run only on your approval.

Most teams keep GA4 connected as a source and simply stop opening it day to day.

What results has it produced?

Tatheon runs its founding store, Hercules Supplements, in production. Over the six months of running every decision through the board, ROAS improved 33 percent, with no out-of-stocks, no overspent creatives, and bottom-line profit up.

Those are one store's results and yours will be your own, but every number on that claim comes from the same board you would be reading.

Data and numbers

Why do the numbers differ from what Meta or Klaviyo report?

Because they are answering a different question, and Tatheon shows both rather than picking one.

Each platform decides for itself which sales it caused, using its own attribution window, and those windows overlap. Add up what every platform claims and it routinely exceeds what your store actually took. Tatheon starts from the orders your store recorded and works back to the touchpoints, so the reconciled figure is usually lower than any platform claims. Neither number is wrong. Use the platform figure to compare its own campaigns, and the reconciled figure to decide where budget goes.

How current is the data?

The board reports through yesterday, and yesterday is complete rather than partial. Syncs run overnight in your business timezone, so the day has closed and settled before it is pulled.

Today is deliberately absent from most surfaces. A part day of revenue compared against a full day last week looks like a collapse every morning and is a comparison worth avoiding.

Is my data shared with other brands?

No. Every brand is isolated at the database level, and that isolation is enforced in the code that reads the data rather than being left to the query that happens to be written.

Peer benchmarking is the one place other brands appear, and it is aggregated and anonymised. You cannot identify another brand from it, and no other brand can identify yours.

What happens if a platform connection breaks?

Each source reports how far its data reaches, so a connection that stops is visible rather than silent. Reconnecting through the wizard restores it and nothing already collected is lost.

The most common cause is not a fault in the product. It is an access token invalidated because the person who granted it changed their password or left the business, which is worth knowing when you decide whose account connects what.

How does attribution work, and can I change the model?

Every order carries its journey, and Tatheon scores it under six models side by side: first touch, last touch, linear and the paid-only variants. You choose the book the whole board pays channels by, and the model-spread view shows exactly how much credit moves when you change your mind.

That spread is the honest answer to why platform dashboards disagree: they are each grading themselves under the model that flatters them.

Can I export my data?

Yes. The data is yours: connected with your own credentials, exportable, and every connection is revocable at any time. Reports print clean to PDF from the board itself.

The AI and actions

Does Tatheon write anything back to my store or ad accounts?

It reads. The only exception is the creative uploader, which pushes ads you have built and approved to Meta, and that is an action you take deliberately rather than something that happens in the background.

The Shopify connection asks for read access only. If an approval screen ever asks you to grant write access to your store, something is wrong and it is worth stopping to check.

What does the AI actually do?

Two things, kept deliberately separate. It answers questions from the figures already on the board, every claim in an answer cites the number it rests on, and it proposes actions: budget moves, creative tests, reorders.

Proposals sit in a queue until a person approves them. Nothing touches a live ad account or store on its own.

Teams and agencies

Can I give my team access without giving them everything?

Yes. Accounts are per person, and a viewer can read the board but cannot lock a month, confirm a forecast, change assumptions or push creative.

That restriction is enforced on the server rather than by hiding buttons, so a viewer is refused whether they use the interface or call the API directly.

We are an agency. Can we run client stores on it?

Yes. Each brand is its own workspace with its own connections, its own board and its own access list, so a client only ever sees their own numbers.

Pricing and access

What are Tatheon AI credits?

Every plan includes a monthly allowance of credits that Tatheon AI draws on when it reads your data to answer questions or prepare proposals. The billing page shows the allowance as a simple meter: used, remaining, and the pace you are on for the month.

How do I get access?

Tatheon is in production with its founding store and onboarding new stores in order. Request access from the sign-up page with your store and stack, and you will be onboarded when your platforms are supported.
